Doms, or delayed onset muscle soreness, happens when your muscles become sure after a session of vigorors exercise like heavy-weight lifting because of an accumulation of lactic acid, which are released in the muscles. lactic acid is a normal by product of muscles metabolism but it can also cause discomfort. DoMS is also caused by swelling in the muscles compartment the result ffrom an influx of white blood cells, prostaglandins and other fluids taht are released into the body to repair "damaged" muscles after a tough workout.
